Be like Auntie Marie.... hide a bag of icing behind your coat so the Bride doesn't know the cakes had a mini disaster on-route!

I made my cakes and you may have heard me say many time it caused a fair bit of sleepless nights, recipe tests and finally the icing - I was only brave enough for ready roll white icing.

Little did I realise when you stack two cakes on top of one another, the bottom will surely suffer a mishap. That's when your extended Bride Squad come to the rescue without you even knowing.

My Mother in Law got in touch with my Auntie to pick up a box of icing sugar and SMUGGLE it past me the day before our Wedding. What legends!

Who is/was in your extend Bride Squad that's an absolute Diamond??

I know...not even remotely Wedding related but I must admit how much growing some of our own veg with our Toddler has helped during these very strange times.

The little one and I regularly check on our produce and he's sooooo proud of his peas he runs up the garden and into the house to show James as soon as we pick them.

It's the little things in life...the rainbows after the storm.
