A team of top Yorkshire Wedding Suppliers teamed up recently at the gorgeous Chilli Barn near Otley, West Yorkshire, to create an eco friendly styled wedding shoot with a difference.
Lisa Bourne, Humanist Celebrant, led the team with a vision of a colourful, budget friendly, eco-friendly inspirational Wedding shoot. The team had a full on day – 12 hours in all to create this spectacular inspiration shoot.
We invited some of the contributors to get together to have a chat about their awesome products & services, the shoot, how it went and how our lovely Brides and Grooms could benefit from the team’s hard work.
To kick things off we first chatted to the lovely Lisa Bourne, Humanist Celebrant who was the brain child of the styled shoot, created the spec and sourced the other amazing suppliers.
Lisa provides fabulous, personal ceremonies for those who prefer a non-religious ceremony, but still wish to celebrate their individual feelings and beliefs.
Lisa felt a budget friendly, eco-conscience shoot with an emphasis on colour was the way to go, and the results are spectacular. We absolutely love the super expressive colour palette of this shoot!
Next up we chatted to experienced Wedding Photographer, Darren Sanderson from Darren Sanderson Photography who took some of the photography, with an emphasis on finding interesting and different angles.
Darren captured some fantastic “behind the scenes” shots detailing how everything came together and how everyone had such a great time.
Long standing contributor to Wedding Espresso, the fabulous Chrys Chapman, covered the Makeup and Hair for Lisa and the two models Chloe Markham & Tara Bailey, using vegan makeup brands in keeping with the shoot’s overall theme.
Lisa asked for 50’s style hair & makeup to go with her fabulous outfit.
Catering wizard Simon Lowth from The Hodge Podge Catering created a Vegan masterpiece of grazing boards in amazing colours.
Communal, buffet style long table Wedding Breakfasts are just fab and from what our friends at the styled shoot said, it tasted absolutely amazing too!
The fabulous Lynz Crichton provided music for the event and also writes personalised songs for weddings.
How cool is that?! James wrote a song for our Wedding so we’re totally into this idea 🙂
Ultra talented Sylvia Pearson from Eco Blooms provided the amazing floral arrangements, the beautiful backdrop to the ceremony, and helped with the inspiration, going for an Italian travel idea.
Sylvia makes absolutely beautiful bouquets, buttonholes and gifts out of old plastic bottles! I know! I couldn’t believe it either, I was absolutely mesmerised watching her videos online!
Everyone agreed that after a long day’s shoot everyone had made fantastic new Wedding Supplier buddies who’d they’d readily recommend to Brides & Grooms to be. Not to mention that by working together on this shoot, they had provided Brides and Grooms to be some great inspiration for their big days.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on an eco friendly style Wedding and how these amazing Wedding Suppliers created products and services to suit.
